VerifyAirPods

How it works - and its limits

Trust comes from honesty. Here is exactly what VerifyAirPods does and what it does not claim.

The rubric approach

For each AirPods model, we maintain documented counterfeit signs including stem etching, packaging typography, model numbers, hinges, ports, and assembly quality. Your photos are compared with authentic references from the same view, and every finding is tied to its source photo.

Why the score behaves the way it does

Counterfeit evidence is asymmetric: one clear failure on a critical detail can be strong evidence of a fake, while confidence in authenticity requires several important details to pass. Blurry or hidden details remain unclear rather than being guessed.

The left earbud, right earbud, charging case, and packaging are assessed separately because an authentic box can be reused with counterfeit hardware.

What it cannot do

  • It is not a guarantee and is not affiliated with Apple. Treat it as an informed second opinion.
  • Serial numbers alone prove nothing because counterfeiters reuse valid serials.
  • The best fakes pass many checks. Lower risk does not mean zero risk.
  • Photo quality matters. Blurry or partial photos reduce what can be judged.

Buy smart

Prefer sellers with returns and buyer protection, and be skeptical of prices far below retail.
